The boyfriend was diagnosed with thyroid cancer Friday. He had his surgery to remove his thyroid yesterday. The surgery ended up taking twice as long as it was supposed to but it went pretty well. He was supposed to be able to go home today but probably looking like he’ll be staying another night. No clue on any of the testing they’ve done post surgery because his doctor’s in another city 90 minutes away doing stuff at another hospital but he’ll be in this afternoon to check in. So I’m hanging out keeping the boyfriend company for now. Definitely want to be here when the doctor gets in so I’ll be here a while. So happy I thought to bring books and my netbook with me today. Also, huzzah for hospital wifi. The room being as cold as it is right now, though? Not a fan, haha.
